Battery Life and Changing Headset Batteries

The expected battery Life for Savi Office headsets is 2 to 3 years, depending on frequency of charging. For high usage environments such as 24x7 contact centres where the headset is Linked for a full shift and recharged during off-shift time, managers should stock up on replacement batteries 24 months after installation.

For the WO100 system, order the WH110 Headset kit 82904-01 and subscribe the new headset to the Base
For the WO200 system, order the WH200 Headset kit 81574-01 and subscribe the new headset to the Base
For the WO300/WO350 system, order the 64399-03 replacement battery. Click here for WO300/WO350 Battery Replacement Guide

When charging an off-duty Savi Office headset on the Savi Office Charge Base (5 bank) / 81421-01, mount the correct cradle on the charging bay, then load the Savi Office headset onto the cradle. Do not force it. Make sure it is secure, and make sure you haven't dislodged any other headsets that may already be mounted on the charging bank.
When the headset is charging, the indicator LED on the headset will be flashing green until fully charged. Once fully charged, it will go solid green. When the headset or cradle and headset are removed from the charger, the headset LED will go out until it is placed on a master Base, where it will then behave as described in the user documentation.
Note that the Savi Office Charge Base (5 bank) / 81421-01 can also be used to mount and charge the Savi W740 with standard cradle. For the W740 Deluxe cradle with backup battery compartment use the 3-Pin 84609-11 5-bay Charge Bank.

Charging a Headset - Troubleshooting

When charging a Savi Office headset, if the charging LED (on the Base or on the headset when charging on the Backup Charging Base) continues to flash (not go solid) after a protracted period (e.g. 8 hours), there may be a problem with your headset or the battery. Try the headset on a master base or a different Charging Bay cradle. If that doesn't work, call the Plantronics Support line, or contact Comfort Telecom Canada. If additional troubleshooting procedures do not resolve the problem, then arrangements will be made for replacement of the headset either under warranty or post warranty conditions.

Setting Savi Office Range

Savi Conference
Savi Controls

The Plantronics Savi WO100, WO200 or WO300 Headset has 3 range or distance settings. It only takes a few seconds to adjust and will allow you to get the most out of your headset.
The setting for your Savi range will need to be adjusted for your environment and distance needs. In office environments where many Savi systems are in use, reducing the range setting can allow more headsets to work in a dense space by reducing the competition for channels. Note that setting the Headset Range to Low will not increase the Talk Time or the battery life.

To set-up the Savi Office for different ranges:
From the Base:
1. With the wireless headset docked and not in use, press the subscription button for three seconds.
2. Both the desk phone light and the PC talk light will flash green for high range.
3. Press the subscription button again for three seconds, the talk lights will flash yellow for medium range.
4. Press the subscription button again for three seconds, the talk buttons will flash red for low range.

From Persono Suite:
1. With your Savi Office connected to the USB port open the PerSono Suite window.
2. Click on Settings then click on Base.
3. Locate the range drop down and select the mode you want.
4. Click the Apply button at the bottom of the window

Savi Conferencr
Savi Controls

Conference in up to 3 additional headsets when using your Savi Wireless Headset. Headsets may be a mix of WO100, WO200 and WO300 models. Think of it as a conference call with headsets but instead of everyone hoovering around a telephone that’s on speaker, you can now use Savi headsets and have perfect volume levels while you and your staff are hand-free, roaming your office and collecting information as need for your call.
To set-up Savi Office conferencing:
1. Start your call on your master headset.
2. Place a 2nd same model headset into your base charging cradle.
2a. Or, on the guest Savi headset, press the headset Volume Button Up “+” for 3 seconds until the Indicator Light on the side of the headset turns solid green. (you will have to do this if the guest headset is a different model - e.g. WO100 vs WO200 vs WO300).
3. Press your Subscription Button for less than one second on the master headset. The Subscription Light will flash yellow and green.
4. The light will turn solid yellow, you will also hear a tone in your master headset.
5. You now have 5 seconds to press your Call Control Button on the master headset to accept your guest. Repeat steps 2-5 for adding additional headsets.

To exit or Disconnect – Your guests can exit the call by pressing their Call Control Button. When the master headset Call Control Button is pressed to end the conference call, all guests will be disconnected.

Supervisor Monitoring over Multiple Calls

To allow a supervisor to monitor over several calls without having to re-establish Conference mode:
1. If you are using a HL10 Handset Lifter to answer/end calls by lifting the handset, with the handset on-hook, disconnect the HL10 from the Base.
2. Activate the main headset link.
3. Conference in the supervisor headset as described above.
4. Mute the Supervisor's headset.
5. Use the phone to manually initiate or end calls by lifting/hanging up the handset, or by using the buttons on the phone.
6. Keep the Master Headset/Base Link established between calls. So long as the main headset link is not broken, the supervisor Conferencing Link will not be broken either.

2. Carefully mount the next shift headset cradle onto the Savi Office Base and load the new headset.

Savi Office Re-subscription Process

Savi Office Re-subscribe
Savi Office Subscription

These instructions pertain to models WO100 ,WO200, WO101, WO201, WO300 & WO350

Subscribing a Master Headset

The headset and base are subscribed to each other at the factory. In the event that you need to subscribe a new master headset to the base you can do so one of two ways.
You can subscribe a master headset to the base with the headset docked (secure subscription) or undocked (over-the-air subscription). In either case, the system must be idle (not on a call).

Subscribe - Headset Docked

Double press the subscription button on the base. The subscription light will flash red and green. When the subscription light becomes solid green, the headset and based are subscribed to one another.

Subscribe - Headset Un-Docked

Double press the subscription button on the base. The subscription light will flash red and green. Press the volume up button on the headset for three seconds until the headset indicator light turns solid green.

When the subscription light on the base becomes solid green, the headset and base are subscribed to one another.

Note: If the subscription process times out after two minutes or if the subscription process fails, the subscription light will become solid red for four seconds and then return to its previous state.

If this occurs, try to re-subscribe the headset again.

Failure to Subscribe

When subscribing a new headset with the headset docked, wait for about 5 seconds after placing the headset in the cradle before initiating the subscription process. This will give the Base time to register that the headset is present in the base.

When a headset is in the Base cradle and subscription is attempted (double press of the Subscription button), sometimes the Subscription LED will go into a continuous R/G/R/G … mode. This is most likely to happen if you initiate the subscription before the Base has time to sense that the headset is in the cradle, or if the headset is already subscribed and you execute the subscription step one or more times again.

If this occurs, lift and replace the headset from/onto the base cradle twice. Upon the second pickup the Subscription LED should go solid Green for normal operation.

Another way to improve the consistency of headset subscription is use the "over-the-air or Undocked method. See the "Subscribe - Headset Un=docked" process.

Savi Office Subscription Mode

Savi Office Re-subscribe
Savi Office Subscription Mode

The following instructions pertain to models WO100 ,WO200, WO101, WO201, WO300 & WO350.

Savi Office systems ship with the Over-the-Air subscription mode turned on. This allows you to link a headset to its charging base while holding it in your hand. This comes in handy when subscribing guest headsets for a conference call when they are a different style that would prevent them from fitting in the charging cradle. Headsets that match the charge cradle style can be subscribed docked as well.

The Over-the-Air subscription mode can be turned off.

To change the subscription mode from the Savi base:

1. Take your headset out of the charge cradle.
2. If either the phone or the computer LED on top of the base turns on turn it off.
3. Press and hold the subscription button (base front left) until it's LED begins flashing, about four seconds, and release.
a. If it flashes green, Over-the-Air mode is turned on.
b. If it flashes red, Over-the-Air mode is off.
