What Is Electronic Hookswitch Capability?
Electronic Hookswitch (EHS), also referred to as Headset Hookswitch Control (HHC), is a feature introduced by several telephone manufacturers which supports electronic control of answering and ending calls. The mechanical HL10 handset lifter is no longer needed for these phones. The Plantronics CSxx series as well as the Savi Office series wireless headsets support EHS with the addition of the appropriate EHS cable for particular telephone models from various manufactures including Avaya, Cisco, Nortel, Polycom, Siemens, ShoreTel and other IP phone systems. What is the reach of the Plantronics DECT wireless headset system with USB interface?
The new Savi Office DECT wireless office system with USB interface has a range of up to 350 feet.
The Savi Go USB Wireless Headset with Class 1 Bluetooth has an upper range of 210 feet from the USB dongle on the PC.
The Calisto Pro for the home office, which features the same DECT technology and USB interface, has a range of up to 300 feet.

Is it possible for the CS55 Headset to work with the CS351N base?
No. The base unit of the CS351N/CS361N is not interchangeable with the CS55 headset. The charging unit for your CS351N was designed to hold the CS351 headset, consequently, the contact points match up perfectly with the contact points on that headset. Since the CS55 headset will not fit into your charging unity properly, the contact points will not match up, and the CS55 will not get charged.
