What is Unified Communications
Unified communications (UC) is a trend in business systems that integrates all forms of communications. It allows an individual to send a message in one medium and the lets the recipient choose the medium for playback. For example, one can receive a voice mail message and then read it in their email inbox using a unified communications program. This, of course, is only the beginning.
Headsets are integral to the implementation of UC systems.
The communications leveraged by UC can include phone, e-mail, chat, voice mail, and fax. A successful implementation can automate and unify all forms of human and device communications into a common user experience. Gains in efficiency can result through an optimization of business processes and enhancing human communications, reducing latency, managing flows, and eliminating device and media dependencies.

Call Control

Take control of your UC application from your end point device. Call control functionality allows you to answer and end calls directly from
your headset, without ever having to touch the computer. This allows the user to control the flow of calls without having to switch applications,
or stop the task on which they are working.

What is Wideband Audio?

Traditional communications solutions sample voice frequencies at 4KHz. Wideband codecs sample frequencies up to 8KHz.
By increasing the frequencies that are encoded, a cleaner, truer transmission of the human voice. Music transmission also becomes
possible using wideband codecs.
The final result to the end user is an experience much closer to "just being there" than traditional communication solutions.
